the Dredger and the Reaper
Pawn A awakes. Glancing for a place to fit her mangled torso, Nothing suffices.
Pawn B surrounds. Embracing, yet lacking touch, he continues.
Desiring to be guided, directed, pulled, she steps in. Pawn B is encompassing. Pawn A is surrounded, there is a constant pressure. Relocating is of no concern for Pawn A, for denial is followed with unknown. Light floods. Pawn B adjusts and holds the bow.
B is present, but lacks presence. Pawn A is immersed in absence, yet senses the search. Pawn B moves from her path and releases the stern. Surrounding, he steps away. She jumps.
